The University of Montevallo honored 32 students at Elite Night held at the end of the fall 2018 semester. Beginning in 1933, Elite Night has served as a way to honor students who excel academically, have shown outstanding leadership abilities and a commitment to service. Each student honored was nominated by the faculty in their respective departments. Being named Senior Elite is considered one of the higher honors that can be bestowed on a student by a UM academic department, many of these students will go on to graduate from the University with honors and excel in their fields.
