Local student breaks Peach Belt baseball record

MONTEVALLO—Will Fulmer, a graduate of East Lake High School in Palm Harbor and an infielder for the University of Montevallo baseball team in Alabama, recently broke the Peach Belt Conference record for hits in a season in conference play with 52. Fulmer drove a single to left field in the sixth inning of a game with Georgia Southwestern State University. The Montevallo Falcons lost the game on the road 9-6.

Fulmer is a sophomore at UM majoring in finance in the Michael E. Stephens College of Business.
