Welcome to the Montevallo family! We are excited to meet you at Orientation! All new UM students must attend an Orientation session in order to register for their classes. We have three goals for your Orientation day:
- To answer all of your questions
- To assist you as you select and register for your classes, and;
- For you to leave excited to return for your first semester at UM!
2023 Freshman Orientation
For all new freshman students beginning school in August 2023
We have four remaining Orientation options for freshman students beginning classes in the Fall 2023 semester: June 9, 2023, June 22, 2023, June 23, 2023, and July 21, 2023. You will need to attend Orientation on one of these dates in order to register for your fall classes. Registration for these Orientation dates is now open.

For all new transfer students beginning school in August 2023
We have two Orientation options for transfer students beginning classes in the Fall 2023 semester: June 8, 2023 and July 20, 2023. You will need to attend Orientation on one of these dates in order to register for your fall classes. Registration for these Orientation dates is now open.

For all new students beginning school in Summer 2023
We have one Orientation option for new students beginning classes in the Summer 2023 semester: June 2, 2023. You will need to attend this Orientation in order to register for your summer classes. Registration for this Orientation date is now open.
