- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online each year!
- Once your FAFSA has been successfully signed and submitted for process by Federal Student Aid, information is sent electronically to the Student Aid Office to be evaluated to determine eligibility for federal aid.
- If additional information is needed, notifications will be sent via UM student email with further explanation. Please promptly respond, providing any requested documentation, to prevent potential delay of your federal student aid award offer.
- Student Aid Offer notification will be sent via UM student email, prompting students to Banner Self Service to view and accept/decline offers.
- For new federal student Direct Stafford Loan borrowers, electronic Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note must be completed at https://studentaid.gov.
