Business Majors

The University of Montevallo offers scholarships that vary in award criteria, and amounts. A special application must be completed to apply for the following scholarships by the March 1st deadline.

Business Scholarships

Alabama Society of CPAs Scholarship Available to a superior accounting major who plans to practice as a CPA in the Birmingham, Alabama area.
Barbara Ivey Memorial Fund Available to business major, not receiving any other financial support. Preference given to students from Wilcox and Monroe counties. Women encouraged to apply. Must have 3.2 GPA or above and have 30 hours completed.  Community achievements are noteworthy. Apply Now
David W. & Diane R. Wheeler Endowed Scholarship Available to a full-time junior or senior business student from Chilton County majoring in Business. Apply Now
Lucille B. & Kenneth M. Henderson Scholarship Recipient should be a business major (or minor) preferably from Jefferson County. Sophomore status or higher with at least cumulative 3.00 GPA. Have an interest in entrepreneurship. Apply Now
Ray Foundation Endowed Scholarship Available to a full-time business student based on financial need. Apply Now
Thera Holland Richter Phi Chi Theta Scholarship Available to upperclassman that is an active member of Phi Chi Theta. Financial need considered. Apply Now
Jason L. and Lacey Epstein Scholarship Endowment Applicant must be a business major. Apply Now

Marvin Narz Memorial Fund Applicant must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior. Applicant must be an accounting major. Apply Now

M. Burke, Robert J., & Bruce Leonard Memorial Fund Awarded to disadvantaged business majors who have a genuine desire to learn and who have demonstrated financial need.

Pay It Forward Scholarship for Books Applicant must have a 2.8 GPA or above.
Anna Papanek Memorial Scholarship Awarded to a student majoring in accounting. The student must be classified as a junior or higher and maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher and majoring in accounting. Preference is given to community college transfer students. The scholarship is renewable if the student maintains the required GPA and is majoring in accounting and may be received for a total of four semesters. Apply Now
The Anita McDaniel Brueck ’77 Endowed Scholarship for Phi Mu Members Must be a junior or senior member of Phi Mu Sorority at University of Montevallo. Preference given to a student majoring in Business. Preference given to those with proven financial need. This scholarship will be awarded annually during the spring semester and is not renewable. This scholarship will be awarded in January via a voting system within the Phi Mu Sorority, led by the current Phi Mu President, and approved by the University of Montevallo Foundation Director of Scholarships.
James and Jennifer Newman Scholarship The James and Jennifer Newman Scholarship will be awarded annually to a student in good standing at the University of Montevallo who is an accounting major with junior or senior status or a fifth-year student. Preference will be given to a first-generation college student with a demonstrated financial need for scholarship support. While preference will be given to an accounting major, if a qualified accounting major is not identified, the funds will be provided to a qualified student in the College of Business. If funds are available, additional scholarships may be awarded. The scholarship will be awarded annually. The recipient may receive the scholarship for up to two years or a third year for a fifth-year student who started the scholarship in the junior year.
