CAEP Accountability Measures

Measure 1: Completer Effectiveness (R4.1)

  • In Spring 2022, the EPP finalized a partnership with Shelby County Schools to collect data pertaining to Measure 1: Completer Effectiveness. Data from 2020-2021 completers will be available to the public in Summer 2023.

Measure 2: Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement (R4.2, RA4.1)

Measure 3: Candidate Competency at Completion (R3.3, RA3.4)

Advanced Certification Programs:

  • Prior to program completion, the EPP ensures all advanced candidates have attained high standards of content knowledge in their fields of specialization, data literacy and research- driven decision making, effective use of collaborative skills, applications of technology, and applications of dispositions, laws, codes of ethics, and professional standards appropriate for the field of specialization. Prior to program completion and recommendation for certification, all advanced candidates must meet program-specific requirements including coursework included on ALSDE-approved program checksheets, GPA, and certification examinations (in applicable fields).

Measure 4: Ability of Completers to be Hired in Education Positions for Which They Have Been Prepared

  • Data for Measure 4: Ability of Completers to be Hired in Education Positions for Which They Have Been Prepared is not yet available. The EPP plans to survey completers of to track promotions resulting from attainment of advanced certification. Data will be available to the public in Summer 2023.
