Dear University community,
Given the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, and all of the compelling national and state data on the matter, the University has determined that we will transition May and summer courses to distance education. Based on student needs, we have already been focusing on increasing distance education options in May and summer. Deans and chairs will be working carefully with faculty to make this transition as successful as possible. The Malone Center will continue to be a helpful resource as will the faculty colleagues who have excellent experience in distance education.
The University has also determined that we will extend the spring 2020 P/F alternative grading system. This seems reasonable and prudent as we extend the distance education transition. We hope that this will ease the anxiety of students and faculty in this stressful time. Details regarding this system are available here.
We want to continue to express our gratitude for your patience and flexibility in this challenging time of crisis. We appreciate each and every one of you and we are here to help and support you in any way.
Stay safe, well and strong,
Dr. Mary Beth Armstrong
