Enrollment & Degree Verification

Enrollment Verification for Current Students

The University of Montevallo has contracted with the National Student Clearinghouse to handle all requests for degree verification and current enrollment verifications. There is no charge for an enrollment verification.

For current students, you may locate this information in the following manner:

  • Sign into Banner Self-Service.
  • Click on Student then Student Records.
  • Click on Student Enrollment Verification to begin the process.

Former Students and Third Party Degree Verification

You may request this information directly from National Student Clearinghouse 24 hours a day or by telephone at 703-742-4200 or via Fax to 703-742-7792. Customer service contact hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please be aware that there is a service fee to verify a degree.

Loan Deferment Request

Students should refer lender(s) to the National Student Clearinghouse for enrollment verification. If the lender(s) requires a loan deferment request form, then students should submit their form to the Registrar’s Office only after they have signed and completed the appropriate sections. Loan deferment request forms are provided by the lender(s). For issues pertaining to loan reporting, contact the National Student Clearinghouse at 703-742-7791.
