2023 Elite Night Honors Outstanding UM Students

The University of Montevallo hosted its annual Senior Elite Night on Nov. 8 in Palmer Auditorium to honor students who have demonstrated outstanding academic and leadership abilities during their time on campus.

The event is a longstanding tradition dating back to 1933. Faculty in each academic department select the student Senior Elite honorees, and the recipients typically have the highest major and overall GPA and will graduate with honors.

The 2023 Who’s Who recipients were recognized based on their academic achievements, service to the UM community and campus involvement: Brianna Bramlett, Sydney Brooks, M.K. Bryant, Allie Dishman, Emily Esneault, Romeo Garrison, Faith Hanna, Morgan Haynes, Rachel Johnson, Jordan Kinney, Veronica Kloss, Elijah Knight, Jordan Long, Manuel Munoz, Blaine Richardson, Colton Rodano, Cole Swain, Janie Taylor, Katie Trimm, Abby Truitt and Riley Watkins.

This year’s Student Government Association cabinet members were also honored during the event: Colton Rodano, Riley Watkins, Aubree Stricklin, Andrew Wilson, Abigail Heuton, Aubrie Chastain, Ivy Siegel, Katie Trimm, Aidan Golden, Ravyn Barlow, Vanessa Avalos, Sasha Doyle, Caleb Jernigan, Jack Dahle and Alex Martinez.

Montevallo Masters were recognized as University ambassadors for exemplifying leadership for our campus: Bo Ferguson, M.K. Bryant, Cole Swain, Samantha Cost, Rachel Johnson, Trinity Buse, Frances Sexton and Rivers Haley.

This year’s candidates for Ms. and Mr. Montevallo were also recognized at the event. The nominees for Ms. Montevallo are Ashlee Hall, Nyla Shipman and Abby Truitt. The nominees for Mr. Montevallo are Jbrelin Cook, Stephen Haymond and Manuel Munoz.

College Night leaders were also recognized during the event, including Purple side leaders Abby Sledd and Joshua Giles, and Gold side leaders Abi DeWilde and Anna Brasfield.
